V Swaminathan, president of the party’s local unit said that lots of parents have been facing hardships as managements of many schools and colleges insisted on cash payment. They are not issuing the receipts.
He also said that at a time when the Prime Minister of the country is keen on achieving the goal of the cashless transaction along with introducing e- wallet and digital banking, how can these private educational institutions take their own stand and ignore the steps taken by the PM.
He even urged Chief Minister of the state to intervene in the matter so as to provide relief to the aggrieved students and parents and issue orders to the institutions to install swiping machines. If the government hesitates to take such measures, it would only give rise to the doubts about the Government's genuine intention and question the state Government that it has failed to cope with the policy of the centre.
