Calcutta University B.A Journalism Exam Cancelled
- Calcutta University cancelled B.A. Journalism second paper exam due to wrong questions.

On June 15, 2018, Calcutta University has cancelled B.A Journalism second paper examination. The officials of the varsity confirmed that the cancellation of the exam was due to wrong questions in the second paper of B.A Journalism course. The questions for the second paper exam were drawn from the third paper curriculum because of which the varsity cancelled the exam. The new date for the B.A. Journalism second paper exam will be notified by the varsity soon.
The Controller of Examinations – Calcutta University will soon submit a report to varsity on how the mix-up took place.

Students who sat for the exam on June 15, 2018, were shocked after seeking third paper curriculum questions in the second paper exam. The authorities of various exam centres took up the issue with the higher officials of Calcutta University. As an immediate step, the varsity has ordered cancellation of the exam.

The re-exam date will be available on CollegeDekho as and when the varsity uploads the same on its official website.
Calcutta University will begin the admission process for UG courses from June 20, 2018. The varsity will release a merit list on June 18, 2018. The admission process will continue until July 13, 2018. Compared to the previous year, CU UG admissions for the session 2018-19 began early to provide students with more classes.
Calcutta University will also implement the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in various courses. The varsity has framed detailed guidelines for the new system which will come into effect from the academic session 2018-19.
