Calcutta University Uses Software to Identify Intake Capacity of Colleges

Calcutta University has planned to use software from this year to identify the college's intake capacity in both the general and honors Course. The registration for all the courses will be done online from this year. All the information about the students will also be available online by which the university will get to access the details of each student who has applied for the program. Due to the numerous money laundering cases that occur in different colleges, the university has decided to opt for this admission process online. By using this process, the university can ensure the student's safety at the time of admission. Calcutta University's entire admission process is done online where students can apply and submit the form online. After that, the student doesn't need to go to college before the beginning of the class.

To elaborate on the new admission process, Calcutta University is conducting a workshop for the students along with the principle of the college. The software will also be used to restrict the excess participation of the students in the admissions. Recently for the first time, every college has communicated briefly about the intake capacity for each general and honors course. The admission process of Calcutta University will begin in June and the classes will start from the first week of July. Last year, many seats were vacant in different colleges which affected NAAC's assessment of the colleges and they were ranked poor by the NAAC. Such things impact the university's image. So, the university will take care of the college intake capacity this year.
