Calcutta University's Annual Fest Sanghoti 2016 Celebrated

The University of Calcutta kicked started its Annual Fest 'Sanghoti - 2016', a lavish five-day event, that was organised between 9th January 2016 to13th January 2016. The events scheduled in the fest took place at the University Campus and in the University Hall.

'Sanghoti -2016' showcased power packed performances by artists like Shilajeet, Rupankar, Anupam Roy and famous bands like M Sonic, Fakira and many more. Also, there were fresher's welcome, Alumni meet, group dance competitions, music mania, solo and duet music competition, debate competition, magazine release, quiz competition, 60 seconds to fame and many more events. On 13th February 2016, Saraswati Puja was also celebrated by the University students' union in the University Campus.

This ultra packed fest had been organised by the Calcutta University students' union's central executive committee. Touseef Ahmed, Spokesperson on behalf of the committee said that this year the excitement of the students has been incredible, they participated actively in the fest in 2016, thereby making the event more amusing and more entertaining. He thanked each and everyone for their support for making this fest much more amusing and he also cordially welcomed everyone from each and every college to join and participate here to make 'Sanghoti-2016' the bumper hit fest of this year. The fest ended on 13th February 2016.
