Calicut University 2023 The entire admission process and declaration of the Calicut University result is administered by the Directorate of Admissions (DoA). As per the latest notification about Calicut results 2023, the results for B.Ed programme (4th semester) have been released. The university conducts examinations at the end of each semester. Calicut University results are released on the official website after the exams. One must note that the Calicut University result is based on 80% of the external evaluation and 20% of the internal evaluation. The duration of Calicut University external exam is 2 to 2.5 hours. Candidates can apply for the revaluation process and if they are not satisfied with the University of Calicut University results.
The university conducts CUCAT - Calicut University Admission Test in order to admit students into PG courses, 5 years integrated PG programmes, B.P.Ed and LLM with double specialisation. Marks obtained in the Calicut University entrance exam is the sole basis for selection of the aspiring candidates except for courses such as M.A Folklore, M.A Music, M.Sc. Health and Yoga Therapy, M.P.Ed, M.T.A and B.P.Ed. Interview, performance in workshops, participation in extracurricular activities, aptitude tests, etc. are additional selection criteria apart from CUCAT for these courses. CUCAT is conducted in the offline mode at various centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur districts.

Calicut University Marking Scheme
The university follows a marks system and for each course, grade points are given under a 10-point indirect grading system. Under the Calicut University evaluation scheme each course is divided into two parts - Internal Assessment and External Evaluation. 80% weightage is given to external evaluation whereas the remaining 20% weightage is given to internal assessment. Calicut University Marking Scheme - External Evaluation
The weightage given to external evaluation is 80%. The Calicut University question paper for all the courses is set by the university itself. The total marks of University of Calicut exam ranges between 60-80 marks. Calicut University courses with ⅔ credits have an external exam of 2 hours with 60 marks whereas courses with ⅘ credits have an external exam of 2.5 hours with 80 marks.
Calicut University Results: Grading System
Under the University of Calicut evaluation system, the indirect grading system is used to evaluate the performance of each student based on a 10-point scale. Students must note that for each of the Calicut University course evaluation, a letter grade is assigned - O, A+, A, B+, B, C, P, F, I or Ab. It is mandatory for a student to get an aggregate of P grade in order to pass in course. Any student who fails to meet this minimum criteria has to re-write his/her examination in the subsequent semester.

Once a student has successfully completed a semester his/her SGPA - Semester Grade Point Average is calculated as per the formula mentioned below:

The CGPA - Cumulative Grade Point Average of each student is determined at the end of a programme. The CGPA of a student is an indication of the overall academic proficiency of the student and is the criteria for determining the rank of the students.
