Cargill Scholarship Awarded to 10 IIT, NIT Students
10 students of IIT Delhi, IIT Mumbai, and National Institute of Technology, Trichy have been awarded scholarships for leadership training under the Cargill Global Scholars Programme.
10 students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, IIT Mumbai, and National Institute of Technology, Trichy have been awarded scholarships for leadership training under the Cargill Global Scholars Programme. These scholarships have been awarded for the academic sessions 2016-2017. The scholarship is offered by the US commodities giant Cargill who has collaborated with Institute of International Education (IIE) in order to develop a foundation for future leaders. The scholarship will allow talented students to prepare for the outstanding opportunities and challenges.
Shortlisted students will be given scholarship funds of up to US$ 2,500 i.e. Rs. 1.68 lakh per year for a duration of up to two years. These students will also be able to participate in various leadership and enrichment activities that will help them to augment their critical thinking skills and realize the qualities that are essential for becoming leaders and decision-makers in their respective spheres. This will allow the students to learn from the eminent business and community leaders and understand more about this genre.

Under the umbrella of the scholarship, these students will be provided with seminars, networking events, and a personalized mentoring program so that they can learn from these leadership development opportunities.
