With the current pandemic closing down the nation, the Supreme Court has announced that the class 10th and 12 Exams will now be cancelled. However, since the lockdown had been implemented half-way through the board examinations, few of the examinations had been left out. Keeping this in mind, new passing criteria, marks and grading systems for CBSE Class 10th and 12th board examination are expected to be established.

Based on the updated assessment policy, the CBSE will consider the grading system. Sources have stated all the students who appeared for the CBSE Class 10 Board Exams and CBSE Class 12 Board Exams will now be assessed as per the marks secured by them in the CBSE pre-board exams. However, confirmation from official sources is yet to be made.

As per different media reports, the proposed alternative grading model by the CBSE may look into assessing the students based on their internal marks. On the other hand, it is also expected to witness a grading model that assesses the students based on the scores they secured in the previously conducted exams.
