CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams Postponed: New Dates Released
Revised date sheet for CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board examination have been released by the board. The exams will take place in the first week of July and the detailed schedule has been released on 18th May 2020.
HRD Ministry has issued a directive to postpone the CBSE class 10 and class 12 board exams due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Not only are the CBSE exams postponed, but the Centre has directed all the schools and educational institutes to reschedule all the exams. The CBSE class 10 and 12 board exams will take place from 1st to 15th July 2020 and the complete schedule has been released on 18th May 2020.
Parents Move SC Against CBSE for Conducting Exams
However, the decision to conduct the remaining papers in July has been met with opposition by a group of 4 parents who have moved to the SC on June 9, 2020. They have asked the court to direct the board to give marks to the students basis internal assessment and have expressed concern that the students will be exposed to the pandemic if they appear for the exams in July amid COVID-19. They have pleaded the court to intervene in the matter and put a stay on the decision. The petition has been filed by advocate Rishi Malhotra who has also said that if DU, IITs and various state boards have cancelled the exams, why can't CBSE do the same.

CBSE Class 10th and 12th Exam Postponed Due to Coronavirus
Anurag Tripathi, CBSE Secretary informed that all ongoing examinations of the board for classes 10th and 12th were conducted in centres in India and abroad, and scheduled between 19th to 31st March 2020, have been rescheduled and will now take place in July. CBSE re-examinations that were rescheduled to be held for North-East Delhi candidates will be rescheduled as well.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the exams scheduled for February 28, 2020, and 29 February for 10th and 12th students in the North East Part of Delhi following the unrest. The Government of Delhi has requested CBSE to postponed the exams in this region to avoid any sort of inconvenience to students. However, the exams will be conducted as scheduled in other parts of Delhi. Only the exam centres that are located in the North-East part of Delhi have been given orders to postpone the exam.

CBSE is yet to release the revised dates for the exams that are postponed on February 26, 27 28, 29, 2020, in North-East part of Delhi. The revised schedule for the exams will be announced soon, and the candidates are advised to prepare for the rest of the exams.
