CBSE Class 10 Kannada Exam: Students Ask for Grace Marks for Out of Syllabus Questions
CBSE class 10th Kannada paper which was on March 9 had out of syllabus questions which irked the students and they are now asking the Board for grace marks.
The CBSE class 10th board exams for Kannada took place on March 9. After the exam was over, students went on Twitter to complain that the paper had out of syllabus questions. Though there has not been any consensus among students regarding the marks attributed to the out-of-syllabus questions, the opinion was that there were many out-of-syllabus questions.
CBSE is getting expert advice and will take a decision before undergoing any evaluation on the basis of experts’ observations. This will help safeguard the students’ interest as per the standard protocol which is mentioned on the official website. Students have asked the board to take corrective measures and offer grace marks.

CBSE has found itself in trouble since the board exams have begun. Previously, class 12th science students had complained regarding a lengthy question paper which could not be completed in the 3 hours duration. Class 12th students also faced a similar situation when it came to English question paper. The questions were out of syllabus and the board hadn’t given enough options for some of the long-answer questions.

There are two novels that the class 12th students had in the syllabus and they were asked to prepare one. But in the exam, there were questions from both the novels without being an option to choose one and this led to a problem for the students who had prepared only one text or were taught only one of the two novels in school.
