CBSE Class 10 Results: Pass Percentage Falls, Boys Outshine Girls
- Compared to the previous years, there has been a change in terms of region wise pass percentage, overall pass percentage and the performance of students.

CBSE declared the results of Class 10 examinations on June 3, 2017. Compared to the previous years, there has been a change in terms of region wise pass percentage, overall pass percentage and the performance of students. Initially, CBSE announced the results of five regions on June 3, 2017. The results of other five regions were also out by the evening.

When the results were out, parents and students who were anxious to check the results were disappointed, as the official results portal of CBSE crashed due to heavy traffic. CBSE had also tied up with Bing for the sake of students.

Highlights of CBSC Class 10 Results 2017: -
- Last year, the pass percentage was 96.21%. There was a decline in pass percentage by 5 percent. This year, an overall of 90.95 percent of students passed the examination.
- Delhi witnessed a tremendous decline in the pass percentage from 91.06% to 78.09% this year.
- The most surprising thing about the Class 10 results this year was the performance of boys. This year, Boys outshine girls in terms of overall pass percentage.
- More boys secured 10/10 CGPA than girls.
- The pass percentage of boys has improved from 78.9 percent to 93.4 percent. This has been a significant improvement.
- Among boys, 1,05,188 secured 10/10 CGPA, and 1,00,950 girls secured 10/10 CGPA.
- Cities like Allahabad, Madras, and Trivandrum showed significant improvement in the pass percentage.
- Among the big cities, Delhi recorded a less pass percentage.
