CBSE Class 10 Science Blueprint 2024: As per the blueprint of CBSE 10th Science 2024 question paper, it is set for 108 marks with internal choice while the questions only for 80 marks are to be answered. The question paper has a total of 39 questions divided into five sections, further details regarding which are elaborated on this page.

Section-wise instructions regarding the marking scheme, answering pattern, and others are outlined here:

  • Q.1 to Q.20 will be asked under Section A and while answering the MCQs, only the option number and its description are to be written. The entire question should not be repeated on the answer sheet. Five Assertion & Reason questions (Q.16 to Q.20) will be asked in this section.
  • Answers to Section B questions from Q.21 to Q.26 shall ideally be answered between a range of 30 to 50 words. Q.23 and Q.25 will have internal choice i.e., any one of the given two questions are to be answered.
  • In Section C, only Q.28 has an internal choice. The rest of the questions from Q.27 to Q.33 are mandatory. Answers to it shall be in the range of 50 to 80 words.
  • All long answer questions from Q.34 to Q.36 in Section D shall be answered within 80 to 120 words. Each question has an internal choice and hence, only any one of the two sub-questions is to be answered.
  • Section E has three questions from Q.37 to Q.39. Each question has three sub-questions of 1 mark, 1 mark, and 2 marks. Internal choice is provided in 2 marks questions only while all 1 mark questions are compulsory.
