CBSE Class 10 Science 2024 Daily Practice Questions: As CBSE 2024 examination is around the corner, candidates should begin with their preparation for the test. A great way to improve preparation for the exam is by practising questions every day for each subject. So, in addition to studying the textbook, students should also try to answer a set of questions daily to enhance their readiness. Here, five daily practice questions from CBSE Class 10 Science for 5 September 2023 have been provided. After going through all the Science chapters in the syllabus, students can attempt these questions to assess how well-versed they are with the syllabus.

For 5 September 2023, here are the daily practice questions from CBSE 10 Science 2024 syllabus:


Question 1: Multiple-Choice Question

Which one of the following properties of Carbon is not responsible for its formation of a large number of compounds?
(a) Tetravalency
(b) Isomerism
(c) Allotropy
(d) Catenation 


Question 2: Very Short Answer Question

Identify one organ each in the human male, and female reproductive system which plays the role of endocrine gland along with the production of germ cells. Name a hormone secreted by each of them.


Question 3: Short Answer Question

Why are the chemical properties of different members of a homologous series similar? What is the difference in the number of carbon and hydrogen atoms between any two successive members of a homologous series? Justify your answer by giving an example from (a) alkynes, (b) alcohols, and (c) aldehydes.

Question 4: Long Answer Question
(a)What is regeneration? Which types of cells are used by such multicellular organisms to regenerate? Name the organism that exhibits this process.
(b) State one function of each of the following parts of the human male reproductive system: (i) Vas deferens (ii) Testes (iii) Prostate glands


Question 5: Case-Based Question

Besides the heart, the human circulatory system consists of a network of closed branching blood vessels and the blood that circulates continuously in all parts of the human body. The human heart is a muscular organ that is as big as our fist. It has four chambers, two upper chambers called atria and two lower chambers called ventricles. The right side of the human heart is separated from the left side by a dividing wall, which is known as a septum. 

(a) Name the smallest blood vessel and state its role in the circulation of blood. 

(b) Write the importance of platelets in the human blood. 

(c) Write in tabular form, two differences between an artery and a vein OR Why is blood circulation in the human heart called double circulation? Explain.
