CBSE Class 10 Science 2024 Daily Practice Questions: As CBSE 2024 examination is around the corner, candidates should begin with their preparation for the test. A great way to improve preparation for the exam is by practising questions every day for each subject. So, in addition to studying the textbook, students should also try to answer a set of questions daily to enhance their readiness. Here, five daily practice questions from CBSE Class 10 Science for 6 September 2023 have been provided. After going through all the Science chapters in the syllabus, students can attempt these questions to assess how well-versed they are with the syllabus.

For 6 September 2023, here are the daily practice questions from CBSE 10 Science 2024 syllabus:


Question 1: Multiple-Choice Question

Generally food is broken and absorbed within the body of organisms. In which of the following organisms is it done outside the body?
a) Amoeba
b) Mushroom
c) Paramoecium
d) Lice


Question 2: Very Short Answer Question

Draw a labelled ray diagram to show the path of the reflected ray corresponding to an incident ray of light parallel to the principal axis of a convex mirror. Mark the angle of incidence and angle of reflection on it.


Question 3: Short Answer Question

On heating blue coloured powder of copper (II) nitrate in a boiling tube, black copper oxide, O2 and a brown gas X is formed.
(a) Identify the type of reaction and the gas X.
(b) Write balanced chemical equation of the reaction.
(c) Write the pH range of aqueous solution of the gas X.


Question 4: Long Answer Question

(a) State the reason why carbon can neither form C4+ cations nor C4– anions, but forms covalent bonds. Also state reasons to explain why covalent compounds (i) are bad conductors of electricity. (ii) have low melting and boiling points.
(b) Write the structural formula of benzene, C6H6 .


Question 5: Case-Based Question

Sahil performed an experiment to study the inheritance pattern of genes. He crossed tall pea plants (TT) with short pea plants (tt) and obtained all tall plants in F1 generation.
a. What will be set of genes present in the F1 generation?
b. Give reason why only tall plants are observed in F1 progeny.
c. When F1 plants were self - pollinated, a total of 800 plants were produced. How many of these would be tall, medium height or short plants? Give the genotype of F 2 generation.
OR
When F1 plants were cross - pollinated with plants having tt genes, a total of 800 plants were produced. How many of these would be tall, medium height or short plants? Give the genotype of F 2 generation.
