After denying rumours on NEET-UG data leak, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has trashed report on the increase in marks of 50% Class 12 students after re-evaluation. The national-level education board confirmed that the report was just a rumour and is baseless. The board further indicated that the marks of only 4,632 students were changed after the re-evaluation.
CBSE revealed that 66,876 candidates applied for re-evaluation, and the marks of only4,632 students were changed. In all, the overall percentage of students who witnessed changes in marks was just 6.9%. Therefore, the report regarding an increase in marks of 50% Class 12 students was misleading.
