CBSE to Exam Centres: Beware of Fake Emails Asking for Question Papers
- CBSE exam centres have been warned to not respond to fake emails asking for examining question paper.
- The board has also stated that it has sent no such emails and asked the centres to ignore them.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has noticed that there have been reports where board exam centres are receiving fake emails to reveal exam papers. CBSE has notified all class 10 and 12 board exam centres to not fall prey to these emails.
The board has warned that no such mail, asking for the verification of the question paper, have been sent by CBSE. The board has also asked the institutes to not respond to such emails.
In an advisory issued by the board, it stated that there are some mischievous elements who are sending false emails to the examination centres and asking them to share the copies of question papers for verification under the name CBSE Examination Controller or email id in the same name. The board added that all such emails are fraudulent.

All the copies of the question papers at the exam centres are to remain sealed till the time of the exam, the board added. CBSE exam centres in India and abroad have been asked to ignore all frivolous mails that ask to reveal the question papers.
Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations began on Monday, March 5, 2018. More than 28 lakh candidates had registered for the board exams this year.

CBSE class 10 board exams are being executed across 4,453 centres in India as well as 78 centres abroad. Whereas, the class 12 exams are being conducted across 4,138 Indian centres and 71 abroad centres.
