Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched an online portal for exams. The portal will consist of all exam-related activities and publications.
The special feature of the same is that now, CBSE schools will now be able to generate a list of candidates according to their roll numbers for this year's main examinations and also make corrections in their details. Through this portal, schools can upload internal subject assessment grades of Class XII. External practical examiners can also upload practical/project marks of Class XII, and CCE marks and co-scholastic grades for classes IX and X for the session 2015-16 and for Class IX for the session 2014-15 can also be uploaded.
The portal, e-CBSE, has two sections-collection of CBSE books for classes X and XII:
- Electronic format
- Web-based activities.
Electronic format resources are divided into six categories. Five of them are for classes I to XII. The sixth category has e-books, chapters on value education in English and Hindi, teacher's' manual, and a compendium of tools, including evaluation tools. Cbse has made available all textbooks and activity books for the students and that too in class-wise categories. Students can read the same online or can download the same for later.
Web-based activities section is basically made to facilitate online corrections. In case of any error in details of students appearing for the main exams, the students can easily correct the same. However, corrections pertaining to subjects or uploading of photos are not allowed.
