CBSE likely to revise Class 10, 12 Exam Dates 2024 due to Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections
CBSE is likely to pre-pone Class 10, 12 CBSE board exam date 2024 in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections in April 2024.
CBSE Board Exam 2024: As the next general election of India is expected to be held between April to May 2024, it becomes very likely that the Central Board of Secondary Examinations (CBSE) will prepone its Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations to conclude by the end of March 2024. Hence, it is expected that CBSE board exam 2024 will be rescheduled to begin in the first week of February 2024 instead of its earlier given date of February 15, 2024.
Furthermore, for Class 12, JEE Main Exam Date 2024 has also been declared and its Session 2 is to begin on April 1, 2024. To avoid a clash here, the board may also schedule the papers for Science stream students to end by March while Arts/Commerce/Vocational papers will be scheduled later on after April 1.
During the previous 17th Lok Sabha elections in 2019, CBSE board had conducted its last paper on April 3 for Class 12 and on March 29 for Class 10 to avoid any clashes. A similar schedule is expected to be followed this year as well.

Students are advised to plan their studies such that any preponement in the exam thus made will not majorly affect their board exam preparation. Students should keep the last two weeks for additional revision and conclude their preparation by January-end.
