CBSE Re-Exam for Class 10 and Class 12 to Have Same Difficulty Level
- CBSE re-exam question paper for Class 10 Maths and Class 10 Economics will have no change in the difficulty level.
- The question paper for re-exam will be framed as per the standards and guidelines of CBSE.
After CBSE notified re-exam for Class 10 Maths and Class 12 Economics subjects, there have been speculations or rumours that the question paper for re-exam might be tough. Giving clarification on the rumors, Union HRD Minister, Mr. Prakash Javadekar assured that there would be no change in the difficulty level and the question papers for re-exam will be set as per the standards of CBSE. The board follows a confidential and systematic process for preparing question papers, he clarified.
Javadekar further assured that a new system to maintain the confidentiality of the question papers will come into effect from April 02, 2018. The latest technology will be used for this purpose. He further assured parents that the board would take all the necessary steps to regulate paper leak in future.

CBSE’s re-exam decision is expected to affect over 22 lakh students. There have been nation-wide protests and criticism against the re-exam decision and parents have been demanding the board to revoke the decision. However, CBSE will not hold back the decision to conduct Class 12 Economics re-exam. On the other hand, Class 10 Maths re-exam decision is temporarily put on hold and an investigation is underway.

As per the official information disclosed by the board, Class 10 Maths paper was leaked only in Haryana and Delhi. According to sources, Maths re-exam for these two regions is expected to be conducted in July.
Last week, PM of India, Narendra Modi also sought a report from CBSE against question paper leak.
