CBSE to Issue Single Certificate to Class 10 Students

CBSE to issue a single certificate for class 10 students and students will have to meet the requirements as stated by the board for getting a duplicate one. Class 12 students will get two separate certificates.

CBSE will issue a single certificate combining the pass certificate and mark sheet from this year onwards. It will be treated as a certificate and students will have to meet the requirements by the board for getting a duplicate certificate. Class 12 students will get two separate certificates.

The board exams will end on April 4 and the results are likely to be out in June. A student who has appeared for an improvement exam will not be issued a separate pass certificate for that subject but will get a separate statement of marks.

A class 10 student who appeared for an improvement exam will be given a mark statement cum certificate in that particular subject highlighting the status of the result as ‘appeared for improvement of performance’.Students of class 12 will be given a mark statement in such a scenario.

The Board will also give three attempts to candidates who had a compartment to appear for the exam, and candidates who failed will be allowed to take the exam next year, and the practical marks will be carried forward. CBSE may conduct practical exam at the theory exam centers from 2020.

Class 10 and 12 students who are found sharing or uploading exam related information on social media will face the consequences as per the rules for unfair means set by the board. Before the boards, the CBSE had suggested that students and parents should stay away from fake news on social media. Rumours regarding exam paper leaks lead to unnecessary panic and confusion among students.
