CBSE to do Away with Re-Evaluation of Answer Sheets from 2017
The Chairperson of CBSE, Mr. Chaturvedi said that the Governing Body of the Board has given its accent for the proposal.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken the decision to discontinue the practice of re-evaluating the answer sheets from 2017. One of the officials mentioned that the practice will still be in place for redress of genuine cases. Since 2014, the re-evaluation of answer sheets was done in 10 subjects for Class 12 examinations.

He mentioned that the number of students applying for re-evaluations was less than 1.8% and the CBSE has decided to do away with the system of re-evaluation. Chairperson of CBSE, Mr. Chaturvedi said that the Governing Body of the Board has given its assent for the proposal. He also mentioned that the CBSE has formed two committees to look into the system of examinations and the existing by-laws.

A senior official also indicated that the CBSE is planning to conduct Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) exam in an online mode from next year. He said that the students would get the digital copies of their certificates soon. The digitisation process of various records and mark sheets of students is underway.
