With an objective to free the students from exam pressure, the Central Board of Secondary Education will start a helpline through which pre-examination counselling will be given to the students who are going to take Class 12 examinations next month. The helpline will be functional from February 9, 2017 onwards.

The counselling is not only meant for students but also parents. As of now, a total number of 90 trained counsellors and principals from government and private CBSE schools will participate in tele-counselling to address the issues of students regarding exams. Additionally, psychologists and special educators will also help students seek relief from exam pressure. The helpline will function until April 29, 2017.

He further added that it is the 20th edition of psychological counselling service of CBSE. For the past eight years, CBSE has been providing counselling to differently abled students with four special educators.
