Central Scholarship Scheme: Application Process (Begins), Documents Required

A scholarship scheme that is provided by the Department of Higher Education from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, viz. The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students has commenced its application process. The students who are interested in availing the scholarship scheme will need to visit the official website of the National Scholarship Portal or the current academic year 2019-20. The students will have to submit the form by the end of October, i.e. 31st October 2019.

A notice has been released by the Ministry of Human Resources Development which has asked the students who have applied for the scholarship scheme on the official website and have either received it or are yet to receive the scholarship or are currently awaiting renewal of the scheme along with the students who have ranked in the top 20th percentile in the different boards of education and wish to avail the scholarship scheme, will all need to apply for the same by the end of October.

Before the students apply for the scholarship, they are advised to go through the detailed guidelines that have been set by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, which is available on the official website. If the students have any queries regarding the scholarship scheme, they will be able to contact the Nodal Officers respective of the different State Board of Education. The contact details will be available to the students on the official website of the National Scholarship Portal.

The students who are applying for the first time for this type of scholarship will need to register themselves on the portal itself. They will be required to provide substantiated and correct information or personal details that have been printed on the documents they submitted in the Student Registration Form. Here are the documents that the student will require while completing the registration process:

• All the Educational Documents of Student/Applicant.
• The Back Account No. as well as the IFSC Code of the Aforementioned Bank account of the Student.
• The Aadhar Number of the student is also important.
• In the case of No Aadhar Number, an authentic document or certificate of the student from the School or Institute they are pursuing their education
• Either a Bank Passbook or the Aadhar Enrolment ID
