Central University of Karnataka Collaborates with IIT Hyderabad
- IIT Hyderabad will provide mentorship and help the Central University of Karnataka in conducting seminar and workshops.
- The main aim of the collaboration between IIT-H and CUK is to improve the academic standards of CUK's School of Engineering.
Central University of Karnataka (CUK) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-H). The collaboration between the two will focus on the development of curriculum and teaching, the establishment of advanced laboratories, conducting seminars, faculty development programmes and workshops in the School of Engineering at CUK.
The tie-up between CUK and IIT- Hyderabad will improve the quality standards in its academic programmes and aid in achieving excellence. The collaboration will also work towards the following:
- IIT Hyderabad will be able to provide mentorship to School of Engineering in CUK through the collaboration.
- The pact will also CUK to introduce fractal academic which is a very popular academic curriculum designed by IIT- Hyderabad.
- It will help conduct various student workshops and seminars at CUK engineering school.

According to the reports, U.B. Desai, Director of IIT- Hyderabad, and M.Maheshwaraiah, Vice- Chancellor of CUK signed the Memorandum of Understanding on 1st May. During the agreement, CUK’s top functionaries such as V. Sandeep, Coordinator of School of Engineering, G. R. Naik, Pro-Vice Chancellor, M.V. Panduranga Rao, Head of Computer Science & Engineering Department were also present.

CUK Vice-Chancellor said that the university is very excited about the tie-up with one of the premier engineering institutions of the country. As per him, this will help them improve their quality of education and will provide the CUK students with excellent career opportunities.
