Central University of Kashmir to Launch B.Tech Computer Science Course
The varsity has also decided to launch various other streams in engineering soon.
The Central University of Kashmir has taken the decision to launch B.Tech in Computer Science from the academic session 2017. The varsity has also decided to launch various other streams in engineering soon. The decision was taken in the 18th Executive Council (EC) meet.
Prof. Mehraj Ud Din Mir, Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Kashmir revealed that they have been working consistently to upgrade the curriculum and the main objective is to provide quality education to students. In the 18th Executive Council meeting, the budget of the university was approved. The appointments made by selection committees in various teaching departments were also approved.

The VC further informed that despite unrest situations in Kashmir that were prevalent last year, the varsity has been successful in completing the syllabus and conducting the examinations. The varsity has also conducted Central University of Kashmir Admission Test (CUKAT) for the admission to integrated Science and Law courses on March 19, 2017.
The Vice-Chancellor also pointed various issues that the varsity has been facing in the Executive Council meeting. He indicated that the construction of the varsity campus at Ganderbal has become a challenge. However, the varsity has taken various measures to overcome the challenges and start the construction.

Registrar of the Central University of Kashmir, Prof. Afzal Zargar expressed that the varsity has been performing exceptionally well in all the areas. Various activities that were taken up by the varsity have been increased multiple times. He expressed that the varsity introduced various courses and the intake of the students also saw a growth. With an objective to improve the skills of students, the varsity has launched vocational courses as well.
