CFA Institute Invites Applications for ‘Young Women in Investment’ Scheme
CFA Institute invites applications for its Young Women in Investment programme 2019. It is for 100 selected eligible women belonging to any educational discipline who will get a chance to be a part of a boot camp, followed by an internship.
CFA Institute has started inviting applications for the ‘Young Women in Investment’ scheme. 100 women will be selected from any educational background who will get the opportunity to be a part of the four-week boot camp, followed by an internship. CFA Institute invites applications for its Bengaluru and Mumbai boot camp with the duration of four to six weeks.
The Institute will provide candidates with free room, board and classroom session for subjects such as Business Skills and Finance. The candidates will also be given stipend in their internship opportunity provided by the Institute.
Head of CFA Inda, Vidhu Shekhar informed that the 2018 class of the same ‘Young women in Investment Scheme’ was a huge success. Women from various backgrounds such as Science, Arts, Commerce, engineering came forward to take up this course in finance and many of them were offered full-time jobs.
Previous year’s program only opened for 50 applicants. Seeing the success, this year, CFA Institute increased the seat number to 100. Also, 20 companies have agreed to provide stipend-paying internship to the candidates.

The scheme was launched in 2018. The ‘Young women in investment’ aims at educating the eligible women about the management and finance industry so that they could pursue their career in it. The course will also offer women training for the full-time job industry. The 2019 programme of ‘Young Women in Investment Scheme’ will receive applications till 31st March. The application process may close earlier if the institute receives 100 applications before 31st March.
