The University grants commission (UGC) has granted autonomy status toChalapathi Pharmacy College, Guntur. The UGC has issued orders granting autonomy status on 15-March-2016.
Speaking at the press meet, College Director, Shri.Y.V.Anjaneyulu said "The UGC officials have visted the college in the month of February and examined the college. The college has been established in the year 2004 with 8 courses. Since then the college has been developing infrastructure and other basic facilities. The present strength of the college is 1600. The campus has been maintaing a good placement percentage since 2008. Around 450 students have been placed so far".
The college has all the facilities including labs, miner water plant, computer labs and many more. The college was accredited by NAAC in the year 2015. The autonomy status is granted for the academic years 2016-17 to 2021-22.
The press meet was attended by College Principal, Prof.Nadendla Rao, HOD’s and Faculty. The photo copies of UGC grant have been given to the press.
