Chandigarh University to Begin Distance and Online Education Programmes from 2020
Chandigarh University gets a nod from UGC to commence Distance Learning and Online Courses from 2020. The admission to these courses will begin in January 2020.
The UGC (University Grants Commission) approved Chandigarh University (CU) is to step into the field of Distance Learning and Online education. With approval by the UGC - Distance Education Council, Chandigarh University will be commencing Distance Learning and Online programmes from the academic year of 2020.
According to the university, the admission for these programmes will start in January 2020. Announcing about the new additions of the programmes offered at the university, Dr R S Bawa, Vice-Chancellor of Chandigarh University said that students enrolled in these programmes will be offered foreign education academic programme and placement assistance under the UIAAP (University International Academic Alliance Programme).

Key Features of Online and Distance Learning Programme at Chandigarh University
The admissions to the Distance Learning programmes at CU will be commencing in January 2020.
The first phase will include 10 programmes: Master of Commerce (M.Com.), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Travel and Tourism, Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology, Master of Arts (MA) in English, Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master of Computer Application (MCA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
Students enrolled for distance education will be provided with a choice-based academic model.
Students will receive placement assistance under the University International Academic Alliance Programme.
The degrees issued by the university will be accepted globally and under the Washington Accord, they will be able to transfer their credits to abroad universities.
Students can be benefitted by the NAAC A+ status of Chandigarh University.
