Chandigarh University Becomes First in India to get NBA Accreditation

Chandigarh University has become the first university to have both NAAC A+ certification and NBA for all of its Engineering and Management Courses. The certifications are evidence of the quality of education in the university ranging from different parameters like infrastructure, teaching faculty, student placements, industry connect, and many more. Thus, getting NBA accreditation is beneficial for the university and the students too. 

NBA Accreditation Benefits 

The college put out a statement claiming that the NBA’s Membership in the Washington Accord would mean that the courses offered by the college would be on par with the standards of colleges in most universities. This would thus allow and make it seamless for students to go to western countries for higher education and jobs. This would be possible because the curriculum is of international standards which would make it easier for them to adjust to the academic and industry standards. The move is also expected to increase labour mobility in the industrial industry.

Satnam Singh Sandhu, the chancellor of Chandigarh expressed delight on CU being the only college in the world to have both NAAC+ and NBA certifications. Another astonishing fact of the recent accomplishment is that all of this was done in just ten years. The credit was given to the students,  faculty members, and alumni. He also added that accreditations and rankings are quality tools to assess the standard of an educational institute.
