Chandrababu Naidu to be conferred with a Doctorate degree by the Chicago State University

Chicago State University will be conferring Mr. Chandrababu Naidu with the Doctorate Degree for his efforts to bring socio-economic development in the state. Mr. Naidu has also been requested by the university to share the success story of the IT revolution in Hyderabad with its students. The president of the University Mr. Wayne Watson informed about the decision of the university to Mr. Naidu through a letter. Wayne Watson stated,” On behalf of the faculty, students and staff of CSU, I am pleased to inform you that the University Honorary Degree Committee has selected you to receive a Doctorate of Humane Letters. We would most sincerely appreciate your acceptance of our award.”

Mr. Naidu is the first foreign political dignitary to receive the award from the university.

The pioneer role being played by Mr. Naidu's government in bringing the socio-economic development in the state is being appreciated by the university. Mr. Watson further wrote in his letter that,” Your government and the university are driven by the common core values. A delegation of the university had also earlier met Mr. Naidu and presented him with a letter for the same reason. The delegation desired that Mr. Naidu deliver a special address to the students, business, political and community leaders and share with them his experiences. According to Ms Angela Henderson, the senior vice-president and Provost for academic affairs of the CSU, there is a strong scope of goodwill, mutual understanding and promotion of commerce between Chicago and AP.
