CISCE Exams 2022: Board made COVID vaccine mandatory to appear for exam
Varsha Gaikwad, Maharashtra's education minister, has asked the CISCE and the Union Ministry of Education for explanation on the necessary Covid vaccine for ISC and ICSE board exams in 2022.
CISCE Board Exams 2022: The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has made COVID-19 vaccination a requirement for students taking the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) examinations from Monday, April 25. The mandatory COVID-19 vaccine recommendations have caused alarm among students who have not yet been vaccinated, as they may not be able to take their ICSE or ISC exams. Varsha Gaikwad, Maharashtra's School Education Minister, has addressed students' concerns in a tweet, urging CISCE and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to offer an expedient clarification. While vaccines are a lifesaver against Covid not allowing unvaccinated students to take exams will be discriminatory," the minister mentioned in her tweet.

Ms. Gaikwad stated in her tweet that the students are concerned and have approached her regarding a CISCE recommendation dated January 4 demanding Covid Vaccination for all individuals taking the ISCE and ISC examinations beginning April 25. "Unvaccinated children will not be allowed to appear for the examinations, according to several schools. Despite the Centre's affidavit in the Supreme Court stating that vaccinations are not required", the minister tweeted.
Meanwhile, the CISCE has yet to provide the admit card for the ICSE and ISC exams; once available, students can access the hall ticket at cisce.org. The ICSE semester 2 examinations will be held through May 23, and the ISC semester examinations will end on June 13.
