CM Fadnavis: Maharashtra Govt to Create 5 Lakh Jobs for Youngsters

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has announced that his government is committed towards creating job opportunities for lakhs of youth of the state. The Chief Minster was addressing the gathering at the 83rd birth anniversary of late Mathadi leader Annasaheb Patil at Navi Mumbai.

Hinting at ongoing reservation problem in jobs and education sector in the state, Fadnavis said that both short- and long-term plans for political and administrative purposes were ready to address the unrest in the state.

The CM also announced that state government would give employment opportunities to 5 lakh youngsters through skill development and finance.

While addressing his concerns over rural poverty and agriculture crisis, the CM said that the government has planned to discuss with various sections of the community in all districts across the state.

The government is also planning to form a sub-group of district representatives and ministers across party lines. On the issue of reservation to the Maratha community, Fadnavis said that his government passed the law for Maratha reservation. A large section of the community is facing economic and educational backwardness. It needs to be uprooted as the problem has its roots in the past legacy and the system.

Fadnavis also said further that his government has been working to accommodate the larger concerns of Maratha youth by opening up the private sector for them and proposed 15 per cent reservation would create only 900 seats in 6,000 Government Colleges.
