CM KCR lays foundation stone for 3 super specialty medical institutes in Hyderabad
The Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao engaged in the "Bhumi Puja" by laying the foundation stone for three Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS).
The Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao engaged in the "Bhumi Puja" by laying the foundation stone for three Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS). This event took place on Tuesday 26th April 2022. The Chief Minister was also accompanied by Health Minister T Harish Rao and others. These three TIMS will be built in three areas of Hyderabad- Alwal, Erragadda, and Gaddiannaram. The state government has sanctioned a total of Rs. 2,679 crores to build three TIMS.
Hyderabad already has one TIMS in the Gachibowli area which is already operational and once the others get operational, Hyderabad will have TIMS in all its four corners. Each TIMS will consist of 1000 beds to provide speciality and super-speciality patient care services. Speciality and super-speciality courses will also be provided along with nursing and para-medical courses at all three TIMS.

KCR in Alwal stated, "Will further strengthen medical services from all the directions in Hyderabad”.
TIMS Alwal is going to be built on 28.41 acres of wide land with a G+5 pattern which will cost around Rs. 897 crores. On the other hand, the facility of Gaddiannaram is spread over 21.36 acres in a 5+14 pattern with an estimated cost of 900 crores. The 14 storied hospital in Erragadda will be built on land measuring 60 acres which will cost Rs. 882 crores.
The number of seats offered in different SS courses will be confirmed after receiving the approval from National Medical Commission. The admission process for SS courses in these institutes will be based on the NEET SS entrance exam conducted by MCC.
