CMA 2020 Awards Felicitate the Achievers and Entrepreneurs
The CMA Management Excellence Awards 2020 ceremony was conducted on March 11, 2020 in partnership with Blenders Pride Reserve Collection Music CDs and the Telegraph. The event was managed by the Calcutta Management Association (CMA).
From the young innovators, corporate veterans to the best in industry, everyone was honoured on March 11 night at the 2020 CMA Management Excellence Awards. The event was held in partnership with the Blenders Pride Reserve Collection Music CDs and the Telegraph which honoured the achievements of old and young alike.
The Calcutta Management Association (CMA) is one of the oldest management associations in India. Awards were distributed in various categories such as corporate leadership, public service, business leadership, a lifetime achievement, emerging leader, innovation excellence and leadership in institutional excellence. The CMA has established a special award, called the Management Hall of Fame, in which well-known and visionary management professionals are introduced.

The Calcutta Management Association (CMA) was set up in 1957 following the recommendations from a committee appointed by the Technical Education Council of All India. The committee recommended the creation of a Regional Association of Management in major cities in India. CMA was established as the first institution of its kind in the country under the auspices of the Ministry of Education of the Union. CMA was the major force behind the establishment of the All India Management Association (AIMA), the apex body for management education in India. The management excellence awards are presented in six different categories. Besides this, CMA also organises lecture sessions to discuss leadership issues in general and current management thoughts with the members in particular.

The Association further organises management learning activities aimed at offering practitioners with practical insights into different aspects of modern management principles, methods and techniques.
