CMAT 2023 Tie Breaker Policy: In case two or more candidate score the same marks in CMAT 2923, the authorities will follow certain steps to break the tie. The CMAT or Common Management Admission Test 2023 examination took place on 4th May by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The result for the same is expected to be released today, 30th May on their official website- cmat.nta.nic.in. As soon as the result is released, candidates will be able to download it using their login credentials. The total marks and section-wise marks obtained by the candidates will be provided on the result. Scroll down below to check the CMAT 2023 tie-breaking policy.

What is CMAT 2023 Tie Breaker Policy?

The tie-breaking policy refers to the rules and guidelines that should be followed in case two or more candidates score equal marks. The tie-breaker policy ensures that the ranking and selection process remains unbiased and provides a systematic approach to resolve any ties that may occur among candidates' scores.

If there is a tie in the CMAT raw scores between two candidates, the council will employ a specific order of merit among the CMAT sectional scores to break the tie and assign ranks to the candidates:
  1. Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
  2. Logical Reasoning
  3. Language Comprehension
  4. General Awareness
  5. Innovation and Entrepreneurship
This means that one who scores the highest marks obtained in "Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation" will be the ranker. In case they both score the same marks in the first section then their "Logical Reasoning" section scores will be compared and so on and so forth.
