All the colleges and universities across the country have been closed due to the Coronavirus outbreak and national lockdown. The government has decided to grant 100% attendance to students. The new academic session for universities will start from Septemeber across the nation. It is delayed by two months due to lockdown.

A special committee was constituted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to discuss when and how to start the new session of universities. A report was submitted to seven members to UGC which contains exam-related issues and academic calendar.

As per the reports, the attendance of students has to be recorded during the lockdown. Minimum attendance rule is mandatory to make students eligible to sit for semester exams. Considering the ongoing situation in India, 100% attendance will be awarded to all students.
