COMED-K Engineering Entrance Test to Take Place on May 7, 2017
There are 150 private engineering colleges in Karnataka and the candidates can either apply for B.Tech or B.Arch course.
The Private Engineering Colleges Association of Karnataka has announced that COMED-K, for the admission to engineering courses across various private engineering colleges of Karnataka will take place on May 7, 207. There are 150 private engineering colleges in the state and candidates can either apply for B.Tech or B.Arch course. However, the candidates who have passed +2 can only apply for the entrance examination and seek admission.

Other details of COMED-K will be announced soon on the official site. COMED-K will be an online examination which will be conducted in various test centres across India on the same day.
Usually, COMED-K is carried out for the admission to medical, dental as well as engineering courses. As the government made National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) mandatory for the admission to dental and medical courses, COMED-K will be carried out only for architecture and engineering courses.

Usually, the counseling process for COMED-K begins in the last week of June. The counseling might take place in six to seven sessions every day where the qualified candidates will be called rank-wise. The seat allotment will be done as per the rank and score secured by the candidates in the entrance test. The counseling takes place in offline mode, and the candidates have to assemble at the helpline centres to get their certificates verified.
The second phase counseling might start in the last week of July. Last year, the examination was conducted to fill 20,000 engineering seats.
