Coronavirus Impact: FLAME University Begins Online Classes
FLAME University, Pune has resorted to online classes due to COVID-19 impact. Various topics which will be covered during the online classes include Calculus, Psychology, Finance, Music and Virtual Arts etc.
FLAME University has started online classes for over 200 courses and includes diverse topics such as Psychology, Finance, Calculus, Music and Virtual Arts and Cinematography. Many educational institutes have moved classes online due to the ongoing lockdown caused by COVID-19 outbreak in the nation. IP University has also moved to online teaching off late and more than 100 affiliated colleges have opted for ICT based learning platforms for a number of professional courses.

To make up for the academic loss of the students during the 21-day coronavirus lockdown, the online classes have been started in coordination with the faculty members of FLAME. The situation is alarming but the university has adapted well to it, said the VC of Flame University, Dr Dishan Kamdar. The university has come up with a digital learning task force for the training the faculty members to have a smooth transition from the classroom to the online classes. G-Suite products and Google Meet has been used for making the class schedule and for tutorial support to the students and the faculty members. Two temporary studios have also been made at the campus.
Many members are also making use of the FLAME University's Learning Management System. They are also developing an online quiz to keep students engaged while they are at home. To help the teachers and the students, FLAME University library has also been digitised and this way, students can also refer to the subscribed databases and digital resources from the off-campus locations.
