CSAB Special Round 1 Cutoff 2022: The leftover vacancies in NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs after the sixth round of JoSAA counselling are filled out by the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). For this, CSAB conducts two special counselling rounds. The seat allotment result for CSAB Special Round 1 was released on October 30 at csab.nic.in. However, the cutoff for CSAP special Round 1 has been released on October 31. Candidates who are willing to participate in the Round 2 counselling can check the Round 1 cutoff to have a tentative idea of the admission chances.

The cutoffs specify the opening and closing ranks for each unique institute-branch combination based on: i. Admission quota, ii. Seat type, and iii. Gender. Those who are interested to go for special round 2 for further betterment can go through the following cutoffs to list out the better option choices. Based on the merit ranks, the cutoffs also help candidates to know their chances of admission at a particular institute-branch combination.
After CSAB special round 1 counselling, from October 30 (5 PM onwards) to November 01 (until 5 PM), the candidate will have to exercise willingness options which will decide if they are eligible to participate in the second round 2 or not. There are namely six options: 1. Freeze, 2. Slide, 3. Float, 4. Surrender, 5. Withdraw, and 6. Exit. Candidates who choose Freeze/Withdraw/Exit will be ineligible for participation in CSAB Special Round 2 while those who choose Slide/Float/Surrender will remain eligible. Based on the exercised willingness options, the seat allotment for CSAB Special Round 2 will be released on November 03.
