The College of Technology and Engineering (CTAE) constituent of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology (MPUAT) is ranked among the top 100 engineering colleges of the country as released by HRD ministry. This is really a proud moment for Udaipur.
The college was started in 1964 with a Graduate Programme in Agricultural Engineering. Presently the CTAE has undergraduate degree programmes in 8 branches, M.Tech. programmes in 12 disciplines, besides an MBA programme in Engineering and PhD programmes in 9 disciplines. The college has a rich infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories in each department having modern state-of-art instruments/equipment to provide the hands-on training to the students. Besides laboratories, the college central workshop in the department of Mechanical Engineering is well equipped with modern machines, tools and other facilities to impart training to the students and help in project work.
The ranking is released by Department of Human Resources, Government of India under National Institute Ranking Framework.
Rankings of Universities, Engineering, and Management and Pharmacy institutes were released by the organization. Both government and private colleges are included in the ranking.
Dean of CTAE BP Nandwana has said that only three engineering colleges of Rajasthan managed to get listed in the list of top 100. IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Jodhpur, MNIT (Malviya National Institute Of Technology) Jaipur and CTAE (College of Technology And Engineering) Udaipur. CTAE got 82nd Rank in India.
