CUET 18th Aug 2022 English Analysis: The fourth phase of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), to be held for 3.72 lakh candidates, commenced on August 17 and will be further held on August 18 and 20. Day 2 of CUET Phase 4 was conducted today in regular two shifts, the morning one being from 09.00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and the afternoon shift from 3 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
English is a common subject available for both shifts under the Language section, however, the language chosen for Shift 1 cannot be selected again for Shift 2 and vice-versa. Thus, candidates can opt for English as their language of choice for only one of either shift. The exam pattern for both shifts remains the same with the Language section having 200 marks, 5 marks for each question. There are a total of 50 multiple-choice questions out of which 40 are to be answered. Each incorrect answer deducts one mark as negative marking is applicable for both shifts.
