CUET 2023 Major Changes Announced: Exam Slot and Test Centers Increased, Total Attempts Reduced

CUET Exam 2023: National Testing Agency has recently made changes in the CUET exam pattern, slots, centres and more. As per the recent report, the NTA has also made changes to the Common University Entrance Test 2023 the number of questions students need to attempt to qualify for the exam. To increase the reach of the exam authorities have added multiple centres outside India. In 2023, the CUET exam will be conducted across 547 cities across India and 24 cities across foreign countries. NTA has added centres in Australia, the USA, Russia, Hong Kong, South Africa and more.

Major Highlights

The National Testing Agency has also increased the total number of slots in the CUET 2023 exam. Till last year the CUET Exam 2023 was conducted in two different shifts morning and afternoon. The morning shift was consulate between 9 AM to 12:15 PM and the afternoon shift was conducted between 3 PM to 6:45 PM. But as per the new schedule, the CUET 2023 exam will be conducted in 3 different shifts depending on the total number of candidates appearing for the exam. Authorities will soon be releasing the timing for all three slots.

In previous years exam candidates were allowed to select only 9 subjects but as per the new announcement, candidates can select 10 subjects. Apart from that the total number of attempts to qualify for the exam has also been reduced by the NTA. As per the report, the total number of sections to be attempted in sections two and three has been reduced.
Earlier candidates needed to answer a minimum of 45 questions in section two but as per the new exam schedule, candidates need to answer only 35 questions. In the same way for section three, it's 40 out of 50. In the general test section candidates have answered 50 questions out of 60.
