CUET UG 2024: List of Changes Expected
In a press conference held recently, M. Jagadesh Kumar expressed his views about this year’s CUET UG 2024 examination. Check the list of possible changes in the upcoming exam here:
- The examination will be organised in Hybrid mode for the convenience of the applicants residing in rural/remote areas. This way, the students can select a centre near their place and opt to appear for the exam offline instead of online in the nearest city.
- Also, the number of subjects a student can choose has been reduced from 10 to 6 this year. This change comes in contrast to the increase in subjects made last year. The number of subjects chosen will be reduced to three domains, two languages and the general test.
- The online registration process for the examination is likely to start on February 19 on the official website, the notification regarding which will be released soon.
- Only for the subjects with the higher number of registrations, there will be an OMR sheet-based test. CBT test will be conducted for all other subjects.
- The agency is likely to take several schools, colleges, and other educational institutes as examination centres for the examination.
- The exam will be conducted in three shifts on all days. This decision has been made to reduce the number of total exam days and hence will decrease the time to release the results.
