• Internationalisation of Rupee: People can now open rupee accounts outside of India as permitted byRBI by the persons resident outside India (PROIs) as part of the 2024-25 agenda for internationalisation of the domestic currency.

• Hyderabad’s Tenure as Joint Capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Ends: Since the bifurcation of the two states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Hyderabad was the capital city for both. After a tenure of 10 years, on 2 June 2024, officially the city of Hyderabad ceases to be the joint capital of the states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh marking it as a milestone.

• SEBI Launches Saathi 2.0 Personal Finance App For Investors: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has released "Saathi 2.0," a smartphone application that aims to give investors trustworthy information and the tools they need to understand complicated financial concepts.

• World Health Assembly Approves Global Organ Transplant Strategy: At the 77th World Health Assembly, the member states have drafted a resolution to improve the organ transplant process including human cells and issued and approved a preliminary draft.

• Cryonics Practice for Freezing Human Body: In Australia, a cryonics company, called Southern Cryonics, has safely attempted "Patient One" an 80-year-old man, to sleep in a cryonic with the hopes of reviving him in the future. The procedure includes cooling, perfusion with cryoprotective solution, and storage in dry ice before reaching the final temperature of around -200°C in a specialized cooling chamber.
• 21st Shangri-La Dialogue Ends In Singapore: The Asian Security Summit or the Shangri-La Dialogue concludes in Singapore on June 2, 2024. The dialogue was held from May 31 to June 2, at a Shangri-La hotel, where hundreds of delegates participated to discuss security challenges and explore new methods.
