Israel-Hamas War: Hamas ready to discuss ceasefire but not hostages
As the Air Force and ground forces of Israel carried airstrikes in the city of Gaza for two days after the declaration of war, Hamas has announced that it is ready for a ceasefire but only when their goals are achieved. This has come after Israel has stated that it is determined to carry offensive strikes with complete firepower.
A major Hamas leader has said that they are ready to ceasefire with Israel after they have made their impact and achieved their strategic goals. However, Israeli PM Netanyahu has not shown any signs of interest in stopping the annexation by Hamas so far.
Israel has reclaimed its control on all of its borders with Gaza. Around 1,500 Hamas terrorists have been found dead in the Israeli territory.
The death toll in the Gaza Strip and nearby areas after Israel’s strikes has risen to 687. According to the sources, the number is much higher than the official figures after seeing the destruction in the city.
USA has assured to continue military support including ammunition and major war equipment to Israel. The US has already announced sending it Carrier Strike Group in support of the war.
The supply chain to Gaza has been cut off by Israel as Gaza is surrounded by Israel from three sides and the Mediterranean Sea on the other side. Electricity and food supply for all residents in Gaza. This has created a major crisis in the whole Gaza Strip.
Curtain Raiser and Logo Launch for IAADB Organised by the Ministry of Culture

19th Asian Games Concluded in China with India Claiming Record 107 Medals
The 19th Asian Games at Hangzhou, China concluded on October 8, 2023 with the Indian contingent receiving 100+ medals, which is the first time in history.
India ended up in the list of Top 5 nations in total number of medals only behind China, Japan, and South Korea.
China came in the first position in total medals tally with an overall 383 medals including 201 gold, 11 silver, and 71 bronze.
India also broke its own previous record of the maximum number of gold medals in any Asian Games season with 28 medals. Indian athletes also grabbed 38 silver and 41 bronze medals in the 19th Asian Games 2023.
