Israel-Hamas War: Israel Regains Control On Its Borders
After the deadliest attack on Israel since 1973 was carried out by the Terrorist Organisation Hamas from the Gaza Strip, Israel has been officially in a state of war with Hamas since October 7. As the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) advance their strikes in Gaza and Southern Israel, the borders have been again cleared from infiltration according to the forces.
- More than 1,500 Hamas militants were killed in Israeli territory by the defence forces before regaining control of the southern borders of Israel
- An official video from Hamas has been released as a warning to retaliate with public execution of Israeli hostages in Gaza if the Jewish country doesn’t step back.
- The statements of PM Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant have reiterated that the Israeli forces have been instructed to deeply penetrate into the enemy territory and hold a complete ‘Seige of Gaza Strip’.
- The military war equipment and weapons are claimed to be provided by Iran as per Hamas. This has raised tensions of the West with Iran as US recently gave humanitarian aid of Six billion dollars to the Gulf country. Iran has still not responded to the Israel-Hamas war situation.

IIFCL Sanctions Loan Worth 8800 Crore for Civil Aviation Industry
India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) has recently approved loans worth Rs 8,800 crore to boost civil aviation and airport infrastructure in India. The leading infrastructural financial institution has already sanctioned loans of Rs 4,000 crore to boost the aviation economy earlier.
- IIFCL is a union government-owned financial institution that provides long-term funding to various infrastructural needs of the country. The company mainly provides financial assistance to airport infrastructure in the country.
- In total, IIFCL has provided around 74,000 crores so far for multiple airport projects in the country.
- The institution has signed a budget of 91,000 crores capital ex[pnditure to be invested in the aviation industry for the next five years.
