CUSAT B.Tech Candidates Bag Last Chance to Clear Back Log Papers
- CUSAT is providing the students of 2000-2009 batch with a chance to clear their back log exams.
- As per the sources, more than 25,000 students join engineering colleges but around 30% of them are unable to clear the exams.
The Cochin University of Science & Technology is providing its B.Tech students with one special chance to clear the backlog papers for the year 2000-2009 batch under the Faculty of Engineering.
The Vice-Chancellor of CUSAT stated that students from 2000-2009 batch can appear in the 2018 academic session to clear the black log papers and they will not be provided with any further chance. More than 25,000 students join engineering college every year in the different engineering specializations. But 25-30% candidates find it difficult to pass the examination.

According to Experts, the reason behind this ratio because of the deteriorating standards of the engineering students who take up the course. Even though thousands of candidates appear in the engineering entrance exam but not with the aim of necessarily clearing it. Most of the candidates enrol themselves in engineering courses to due to family and societal pressure which leads to decreasing standards and the inability of students to clear the exams.
Cochin University of Science & Technology in an autonomous science and technology university located in Kochi, India. The university offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. CUSAT has three campuses one in Kochi, one in Alappuzha and in Kuttanad.

The university organizes its own national-level entrance exam CUSAT CAT for the admission into the various courses offered by the institute affiliated to the university for admission into various science & technology, humanities, law and commerce courses.
