Sundeep Kumar Makthala, Founder, Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA), said that even the start-ups – big as well as small ones – are bent on hiring cyber security professionals. With the rising demand for data security, both clients, as well as service providers, are looking for means to protect their critical data. This has resulted in an exponential growth of cyber security jobs, added Makthala.
With the emergence of artificial intelligence, automation and machine-to-machine learning the need for lower end and mid-level engineers has been falling. However, this has not affected the cyber security space where jobs are increasing.
Cyber security experts cannot be replaced by automation as the field is highly dynamic in nature and keeps evolving. Cyberspace needs constant monitoring and therefore the demand for cyber security experts will never go down.
Experts have also stated that freshers in the cyber security domain get higher starting salaries than those in other IT domains.
