Danish Education Minister Visits IIM-Ahmedabad
During his visit, Soren Pind had a glance of classrooms. He also spoke about student exchange programme with the officials of IIM-A. On this occasion, he indicated that his visit would improve the educational ties with Danish.
Soren Pind, Danish Education Minister, visited Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad on December 7, 2016. The main purpose of his visit was to know about the education system of the premier institute. The details about the visit of Danish Education Minister were tweeted on the official Twitter account of IIM-Ahmedabad. The tweet revealed that Soren Pind met Rakesh Basant, Dean at IIM-A.

Currently, Soren Pind is on an official visit to Gujarat. He also met the Chief Minister of the state, Vijay Rupani. He will meet some of the senior officials of various companies and institutes.
In the recent MRDA & Best B-School rankings Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad secured top position. The rankings were given based on some parameters which include future orientation, placement performance, learning experience, living experience and selection process.

Recently, Kumar Mangalam Birla has been appointed as the Chairman of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He will hold the office for five years. The Board of Governors had been in a long search for the new chairman. However, they felt a sigh of relief with the appointment of K.M. Birla. It is assumed that MHRD has taken a wise decision by appointing K.M. Birla as chairman believing that it will strengthen the industry-academia linkages through his varied experiences.
