DAVV Will Not Reimburse the Full CET Fee to Students
Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya has declared that it will not reimburse the entire fee amount to the students. The processing fee will be deducted from the total application fee and the remaining amount will then be refunded to the students.
Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has decided that it will not reimburse the full entrance test fee to the students who appeared for the exam. A day after Jitu Patwari, the Minister of Higher Education, announced that the application fee of the Common Entrance Test (CET) will be refunded to the applicants, DAVV statted calculating the amount that they will deduct from the refund.
It is said that the university is likely to deduct the processing fee and reimburse the rest of the amount to all students. The Vice-Chancellor of DAVV, Dr. Renu Jain, said that the minister had already informed the authorities of the university that they could deduct the processing fee before refunding the amount to the students. She told that a committee has been set up for deciding the amount that will be reimbursed to the students. The committee will also decide the other details regarding the refund including the mode of payment.

Around 17,762 candidates had registered themselves for the entrance exam and had paid a sum of Rs. 1,500 as examination fee. As the university does not have any slab as such to process the fee of the entrance test, the committee has been formed which comprises six members including Ajay Verma- the deputy registrar (academics), Dilip Verma- the finance controller of DAVV, some professors, and a representative of the legal cell who is responsible for deciding the amount to be deducted. The entire process of fee reimbursement will be completed before the merit list of DAVV is released.

DAVV has also formed a new committee for the counselling of those undergraduate as well as the postgraduate courses that come under the Common Entrance Test (CET). Ashok Sharma will be appointed as the Chairman of this counselling committee and it will also include the Heads of Department (HODs) of eighteen University Teaching Departments (UTD).
