We are living in an era where technology is at it's boom, and the education system is using this technology to enchance the field of reading and writing, from writing slate of the ealier times to the wireless slate of the 20th century style of learning is changing.
Doon Business School, Dehradun (DBS) still follows the traditional style of learning, they have blackboards chalk for the lectures and no there is no use of projectors, mics, etc for conducting the classes. Students here are not very upgraded technology wise and there is no word like placements for them.
The faculty in DBS is very good said the students also complimenting the regularity of the teachers in conducting the classes.
There are positive as well as negative and disappointing feedbacks and it would startle you to know that students are not happy because after graduating from the college, the percentage of employability of the students of DBS is very low.
This calls for debate on the tradional and modern style of learning in every aspect. Many students also said that they come to colleges because they are not financially very strong and instead of gaining nothing they gain knowledge to a great extent.
The main purpose of any educational body is to provide the best to the assests i.e. the youth of the country which reads in their institute, universtiy or college and this will happen only when the colleges keep pace with the technology and reconciliation is needed to ensure better results.
